Russian Thistle Pollen Allergy

Airborne pollen of Russian thistle (Salsola pestifer) is a major source of allergen in USA. Airborne pollen when inhaled induces an allergic reaction in the nose and sinuses resulting in sneezing, nasal blockage, post-nasal drip and in some cases an asthma attack. Diagnosis of allergy to pollen of Russian Thistle is made by allergy tests usually performed by an allergist. If test is positive and if the symptoms correlate allergy shots are prescribed to develop immunity to Russian Thistle pollen. To see more images of Russian Thistle visit here.
